First, let’s have a short history revision…Why Blaine bar ? Blaine was the senator who reapealed the Prohibition law in 1933.

This bar captures the feeling of a clandestine bar the 20s, as Prohibition was in full swing.

From passwords which change every week and cocktails to live jazz and fedoras, this speakeasy-style bar is a cut above !

Enjoying a cocktail at Blaine must be earned ! You will feel like a be client of the speakeasies in the 20’s.

Hidden behind a large black door, Blaine is located at the bottom of what appears to be a disused staircase. Whisper a password you managed to get on FB, follow a corridor and open a door, and only then will you reach the small candlelit space. The cheery staff all wear black trousers with braces, a white shirt and fedoras, while live musicians play jazz standards.

The inside is thouroughly designed : each piece of furniture was hunted out by Benjamin Roussel, the owner.

Just sit and relax on a very comfortable velvet armchair and sip one of their delicious liquor or cocktails whose recipes are inspired from cocktails at the Prohibition period. You can also ask the mixologist to create your own Blaine bar also offers a large range of spirits.

Blaine bar is the Parisian speakeasy for an after party. Why ? Because Blaine is opened till 5 am !
